The
Clock on the Dying Branch
by: Chris
Leveille
I stand,
surrounded.
A drop
in the bucket
Tens,
hundreds
Lies,
half-truths
Lonely,
lonely, lonely
The cats
have taxed the sheep.
Time passes,
naught can be done.
The tree
has lost its branches
We must
plant the tree anew.
Remember
the sacrifices
Truth,
justice, honesty
The sheep
will dance again.
